DAY 5 IN IRELAND, SPECIFICALLY COUNTY DONEGAL, a place designated by a number of major publications as one of the best places on the planet. I would not disagree with that assessment.
If I could, I would live here. I mean, lots of Guinness, sheep, and other-worldly golf courses. What more could a person need? Other than a good wife to share your life with – which I have covered. Throw in some of the best bathroom signs on the planet and I’m good to go.
Photography wise, I haven’t spent much time wondering around, picture making device in hand. I did bring my “real” camera in order to make narrow depth of field pictures but have yet to use it. That written, our first 4 days were spent in and around Ardara, a place I have photographed a-plenty. So, I did not feel the impulse / need to add to my collection of such pictures.
We have since moved on to Portsalon on Lough Swilley where we can see the northern most point in Ireland from our middle-of-nowhere house on a beach. Seems like I will be making lot of landscape photos.
That written, I did bring my Ireland photo-book (100 photos) along and the reception it received from the locals was over the top, favorable. Made me think that I should publish a “real” book and sell it in Ireland.
